Comment: Very popular clock from the early 1900's.

Case: Solid Mahogany with Adamantine finish. Adamantine is a celluloid veneer that was developed in the late 1800’s and used on clocks originally to duplicat the French Marble. Convex dial and glass were new at this time for Srth Thomas. Width 16 1/2" , height 9 1/2" depth 5 1/2"
Movement: The Seth Thomas No.89 movement is know for it's excellent durability. 8 day brass time and strike on gong.

Columns with brass inlay
Awesome weighted pendulum. Never seen one like it.
Back of pendulum bob. The small shaft above the screw probably had a knob of some kind to turn the length adjustment gear.
Removal of the screw reveals a small gear to adjust the pendulum lenght and also small lead weights. Adding weight to the bottom has the same effect as lengthening the rod.
